Common Questions
What can I expect at worship gatherings?
We Intentionally craft spaces of reflection, response, prayer, and proclamation through various forms, expressions, and practices. Our worship gathering is often multisensory and creative. That means you’ll hear some scripture and sing some songs, but you might also be offered some time to work on a contemplative art project or chat with your neighbor.
We are intentional about finding appropriate ways to engage the children in worship and community building. The beginning of the service is crafted to be inclusive of children. After communion, the children are invited to create their own space with our Childcare Provider and a rotating volunteer adult member of the community. We provide childcare for children aged 2 - 11.
If you are attending Beloved Community for the first time and would like childcare, please let us know ahead of your visit. You can do that by filling out this form.
We’re human. Sometimes what we do doesn't work out the way we'd hoped. We're ok with that and hope you will be too.
What do folks wear?
You get to choose. Wear what makes you feel joy, or comfort, or what’s clean, or what you wore the day before. We tend to be an informal bunch.
