Join Beloved Community Charlotte and QC Family Tree for Funeral for the Empire — a liturgical direct action where grief becomes resistance, and ritual becomes a map toward liberation.
We will gather at the gates of the empire to mourn what has been taken from us—identity, earth, body, belonging.
We will name what we are burying: greed, domination, white supremacy, disconnection.
And we will say YES to transformation, to collective healing, to joy, to new life.
Through rhythm, movement, chant, soil, story, and feast—we’ll walk together toward what could be.
